I saw that Taco Loco has been replaced by 3 Hermanos, and stopped by to see how the new place compared to the old place. Answer: poorly. The first warning sign was how stale the chips were (to give them credit, the green salsa was very good, and significantly hotter than Taco Loco's had been). Undeterred, I decided to try three different tacos (beef shoulder, steak, and chicken, all with cilantro and onions). The shoulder taco was incredibly bland. Lime juice and salsa helped it some, but it was still pretty forgettable. The steak was relatively good--not amazing, but juicy and fairly flavorful. The chicken was overcooked--dry and actually hard in places. The positives were the friendly waitress, the speed of service, and the green salsa. The negatives were just about everything else. I won't be back.
